Integration Coordinator

ESN Utrecht is an organisation for (international) students in Utrecht. Its executive board consists of six board members who work full-time, one of which is the Integration Coordinator.

As Integration Coordinator you mainly focus on the integration of international students. This can be done in many different ways and on different levels; focussing on both the students and the local Dutch society. Next to this you also get to promote mobility and Internationalisation, so loads of opportunities to show your enthusiasm for an international environment and going

abroad.

The following tasks are in your portfolio:

● Coordinating the Culture and Social Inclusion Committee

● Logistics and coordinating of the Dutch Language Course

● Working together with our Music Team and Running Club

● Responsible for Pre-Departure Mentors and Introduction Mentors

● Semester planner

● HKU orientation

● Social Inclusion Days

● Various projects closely related to the ESN causes of Social Inclusion, Culture and

Education & Youth

Being involved with many different subjects makes this function very diverse, meaning you can use and learn a lot of different skills. Within your function you have the possibility to actively promote active citizenship and (social) inclusion; how can you widen participation & social engagement, how do you organise inclusive and accessible activities? These are questions you would be working with. Of course, you are not organising everything by yourself. Next to your other board members, you have the opportunity to coordinate 2 active committees and a team of teachers, so you get to have many people around you to make sure you can make the best out of your plans. As you are also responsible for finding, informing and taking care of our mentors, you can make sure all internationals will have a kick start with nice volunteers at the beginning of their semester, making sure everyone shows (ESN) Utrecht in the best way possible.
