The donor recruiter is responsible for recruiting and retaining donors.

Detailed description

What are you going to do?

The donor recruiter is responsible for recruiting and retaining donors. This is a new feature in SIW that we want to try to get more revenue and become financially healthier. Target group for donors are (former) employees and (former) volunteers and interested parties who care about SIW. You work together with the fundraiser, the marketing & communication team and the treasurer.

Who are you?

• You are enthusiastic about the projects, objectives and mission of SIW;

• You are decisive, analytical, a team player and customer-oriented;

• Ideally you have experience with donor recruitment and relationship management;

• You are prepared to set aside approximately 2 hours a week for SIW, including 1 evening every two months for team meetings;

• You also help to promote SIW to potential participants, for example on information days/evenings, at trade fairs, school meetings and/or on social media;

• You intend to commit yourself to this position for at least one year;

• You preferably live in the Utrecht area; (doesn't seem necessary to me)

• Young people and people with a multicultural background are explicitly invited to apply in order to form as diverse a team as possible.

What do we offer you?

• A nice organization with many enthusiastic people with a passion for volunteer work and travel;

• The opportunity to gain relevant experience and to further develop skills and competences and to put SIW on the map;

• The challenge of shaping SIW's donor policy;

• Plenty of room for own initiative and plenty of opportunities to shape your ideas;

• Incidentally, it is possible to participate in (inter)national training courses and meetings;

• (travel) costs incurred are reimbursed, as well as a discount on an international volunteer project through SIW.

Who are we?

SIW International Volunteer Projects is a versatile Dutch non-profit exchange organization (NGO). For more than 60 years, SIW has been sending Dutch volunteers to projects all over the world and has received international volunteers on various projects in the Netherlands. In total, this concerns approximately 250 broadcasts and receptions per year. SIW is part of three international networks: Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations, CCIVS International Voluntary Service and Service Civil International (SCI).

SIW's mission is to encourage people to broaden their horizons. SIW does this by bringing volunteers into contact with other cultures. In this way, SIW wants to increase intercultural understanding, contribute to the personal development of volunteers and encourage them to dedicate themselves to a better society.

The activities of SIW are organized by approximately 60 enthusiastic voluntary employees, supported by an office in the heart of Utrecht.
