Shop volunteers for various parts of the day

Do you have a thing for people, with fashion, with presentation? Do you have a view on how people dress for the job interview? Are you easy going, representative and can you work with all kinds of different personalities? Can you work independently? Then you might feel right at home in the Dress for Success Utrecht team.

As a store volunteer, you run the Dress for Success store, together with your colleagues and the manager. You help customers select clothes for a job interview, but running a store also includes selecting donated clothing for suitability, washing and ironing and keeping the store tidy. In addition, some administrative work has to be done with every customer.

Working in the Dress for Success store requires you to have an affinity with fashion, experience in dressing customers and enjoy running a store. Of course, this also means that you look presentable yourself, but above all that you can deal with our customers well. You are in the store according to a schedule that has been agreed with the team. The Dress for Success manager takes care of organizational matters and training, but you do the work quite independently.

Running a store together requires flexibility, team spirit and a sense of responsibility. In addition, it is important that you have a positive attitude, that you know how to put people at ease, that you can respond to the wishes of the customer, that you can speak and understand Dutch well and that you can give and receive feedback. Dress for Success Utrecht provides guidance and training in both the induction period and afterwards. There are meetings with the entire team, to make business appointments, but also for fun. As a volunteer at Dress for Success you can also count on support from the manager.

As a shop volunteer you work according to a fixed schedule, with a permanent colleague, for 3-4 hours at a time.

In addition, you are expected to attend the volunteer meeting once every so many weeks.

Please note that the store's hours of operation are currently Monday from 10am to 1pm, Tuesday from 10am to 4pm, Wednesday from 10am to 1pm and Thursday from 1pm to 4pm. It is the intention that you are available during at least one of these half-days. The vacancy is for the services on one of the above half days.
