Coordinator Store Dress for Success

Do you have a thing for fashion, with standing for something together? Do you have insight into what dressing people means for the job interview? Do you have experience running a store? Are you easy going, representative and can you work with all kinds of different personalities? Do you know what it takes to keep a clothing store in order Do you have easy conversations? Can you work independently?

Then you might feel right at home in the Dress for Success Utrecht team.

As a store coordinator, you and your colleagues ensure that the store is in order, that it is clear when customers come and you are flexible.

What do we expect

You are present in the store every week on different parts of the day. That way you keep in touch with all volunteers.

The tasks

· Volunteer policy: ensuring that protocols and agreements are clear and in order: about receiving and selecting donations, receiving and dressing customers, what is possible and what is not; looking for alternatives for various matters (e.g. rules regarding COVID-19)

Agreements: about store layout and activities

· Customers: who want to make an appointment, e-mail or call (registration work telephone, manager communicates this with store coordinator)

Donations: Mail donations and donation campaigns, donors who call outside opening hours

· Activities: Send and supervise collection changes twice a year in October (summer to winter) and in April (winter to summer); Initiating and organizing the SALE.

Signaling stock management: Maintain stock (groceries, bags, paper, ink, etc.)

· Signal equipment: Ensure that the PC and printers remain in order (contact with Student at home, etc.)

· Sympany: eg contact about pick-up of biweekly clothing.

Team spirit

Running a store together requires flexibility, team spirit and a sense of responsibility. In addition, it is important that you have a positive attitude, that you know how to put people at ease, that you can respond to the wishes of the customer, that you can speak and understand Dutch well and that you can give and receive feedback.

There are volunteer meetings with the entire team, to make business appointments, but also for fun. As a volunteer at Dress for Success you can also count on support from the manager.

You will of course have regular consultations with the manager of Dress for Success. They will support you in various matters.

You do the work quite independently.

As a volunteer coordinator you work flexibly in the store.

The store's opening hours are currently:

Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.,

Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.,

Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m

Thursday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

It is the intention that you are present during at least one of these half-days per week.
