Do you like to organize, link and keep an overview? And do you want to mean something for the Hoograven district? Then we want you as a voluntary coordinator of Language Coaching for the language groups in this neighborhood!

As a voluntary coordinator you are the pivot in our work. You have coordinating, coaching and administrative tasks. For example, you link participants to a language coach, you guide the voluntary language coaches and you keep a digital record of the administration. As a coordinator you are closely involved in the organization, a valuable experience. You also meet many different people.

After following a basic training course, you start coordinating the groups in Hoograven. You will be trained and supported by a project employee from Taal Doet Meer.

What do you have at home?

You have affinity with adult language learners, language and cultures

You are open to new encounters

You enjoy organizing

You are eager to learn, independent and reliable

You are available on a weekly basis for 4 to 6 hours per week (flexible)

You participate in coordinators' meeting (6 times a year)

You are willing to commit for a period of at least one year

What do you get in return?

As a coordinator you can gain experience with a large and diverse group of volunteers and participants from all cultures. You can expect guidance from the organization, you will follow a starting training and you can participate in professional development and various other activities. Finally, we offer a volunteer contract and third-party insurance.

With your efforts, you ensure that dozens of meetings take place every week between Utrecht residents with various backgrounds, in which language is the common thread. Utrecht residents feel more connected to their city and you contribute to that!
