Do you like to roll up your sleeves for someone else? The Red Cross could really use your help! We have been helping in emergencies in the Netherlands for over 150 years. During the corona crisis, we run our largest relief operation since the flood disaster. For example, we help in healthcare, support in the test streets and distribute food packages. Because in times of need, no one should be alone.

For the annual collection in the third week of June, the Utrecht department is looking for a project coordinator to organize the collection of the Red Cross. Whether there will also be a Door-to-Door collection depends on the situation in June.

Volunteer for 2 to 4 hours a week

The Collection Week is organized by the local branches of the Red Cross. With your efforts, we can continue to support people in the area in times of need.

What are you going to do

Your task is to bring the collection to the attention of your colleagues. You are the first point of contact and ensure that your colleagues have the necessary collection materials.

You use your creativity so that the collection becomes more visible on Social Media.

You draw attention to the collection in the newsletter, on the intranet, the district website and seek access to other, local activities.

• There is a communication plan on how the departments can encourage and call on their collectors to start collecting digitally;
• A plan has been drawn up to allow as many people as possible to collect online;
• There is a flyer with a donation option
• And there will be a national campaign.

Who are we looking for

You have an eye for what needs to be done. You are an organizational talent and enjoy managing and guiding volunteers.

You have good communication skills and enjoy making new contacts and strengthening local networks. You are good with Excel and are quickly familiar with software. You have your own computer with internet access.

You are available for approx. 2 hours per week from January / February to June, plus an extra investment of time in the weeks leading up to the collection. You live in Utrecht or in the immediate vicinity.
