Store volunteers for various half-days

Do you have a thing for people, with fashion, with presentation? Do you see how people dress for the job interview? Are you easy going, representative and can you work with all kinds of different personalities? Can you work independently? Then you might feel at home in the Dress for Success Utrecht team.

As a store volunteer, you run the Dress for Success store together with your colleagues and the manager. You help customers pick out clothes for a job interview, but running a store includes selecting donated clothes for suitability, washing and ironing, and keeping the store tidy. In addition, some administrative work has to be done for each customer.

The work in the Dress for Success store requires you to have an affinity with fashion, have experience in dressing customers and enjoy running a store. Of course, this means that you look representative yourself, but above all that you can deal well with our customers. You are in the store according to a schedule agreed with the team. The Dress for Success manager takes care of organizational matters and training, but you do the work quite independently.

Running a store together requires flexibility, team spirit and a sense of responsibility. In addition, it is important that you have a positive attitude, know how to put people at ease, can respond to the wishes of the customer, can speak and understand Dutch well and can give and receive feedback. Dress for Success Utrecht provides guidance and training during the induction period and afterwards. There are meetings with the whole team, to make business appointments, but also for socializing. Furthermore, as a volunteer at Dress for Success you can count on the support of the manager.

As a store volunteer you work according to a fixed schedule, with a regular colleague, for 3-4 hours at a time.

In addition, you are expected to attend the volunteer meeting once every so many weeks.

Please note that the store's opening hours are currently Monday, 10am to 1pm, Tuesdays, 10am to 4pm, Wednesdays, 10am to 1pm, and Thursdays, 1pm to 4pm. The intention is that you are available at least during one of these half-days. The vacancy is for the services on one of the above half-days.
