Elke dag maken we nieuwe keuzes. Van welke kleren die je die dag aantrekt tot wil je wel kinderen krijgen; in hoeverre maak jij die keuze echt zelf? Hoe laten we ons leiden door wat anderen vinden, of hoe de maatschappij denkt dat we ons leven moeten inrichten?
Donderdag 25 april keert Utrecht in Dialoog terug naar De Kargadoor voor een dialoog over het thema 'Vrij van Kritiek'. Hoewel advies van anderen ons ook helpen te groeien, zit er veel waarde in het ontdekken van nieuwe wegen zonder bang te zijn voor kritiek. In dit dialoog onderzoeken we welke kritiek ons beïnvloedt, hoe we omgaan met kritiek en wat we doen om obstakels te overkomen en onze eigen lijnen te volgen.

Every day we make choices: from which clothes to put on to which classes to take to whether to have children. But do we ever make these choices by ourselves? How far are we influenced by what other people think, or by the ways in which society suggests we should live our lives?

On Thursday, April 25th, Utrecht in Dialogue will return to De Kargadoor for a dialogue on the theme ‘Freedom from Criticism.’ Although advice from others often helps us grow, it’s also important to explore new paths without worrying about critical feedback. In this dialogue, we’ll discuss what it’s like to pursue our visions beyond critique, and consider what we can do to help each other overcome obstacles to free choice.
