Home-Start Utrecht is looking for volunteers to guide vulnerable families in their home situationDetailed description
Education does not always come naturally. Sometimes things don't go well for a while. All kinds of circumstances (eg divorce, overload or a limited network) can cause tension in a family, which makes parenting extra difficult. Do you have time, attention and a listening ear? Would you like to temporarily support a family 2-4 hours a week? Then we are looking for you!
We offer you:
- a preparatory training,
- refresher training,
- return meetings,
- socializing with other volunteers
- personal guidance by a coordinator.
Are you excited? Then you are always welcome for a non-binding introductory meeting. You can also contact us if you have any questions or would like more information.
In October we organize another training for volunteers. Feel free to contact us for more information.

About Home-Start Utrecht
Home-Start supports families. The questions of the parents are central. Often a listening ear is asked, practical help or thinking along in the upbringing. The aim is to increase the self-confidence of parents, so that they can continue on their own when the volunteer leaves after a few months. The volunteer visits a family every week on the basis of equality and trust. The parent has plenty of room for personal input and finds solutions together with the volunteer. We are looking for people who want to use their (life) experience to support another parent.
