Job Profile

We are looking for a budget monitor for the Marathon Section Board (SBM). The section board operates at national level and consists of regional representatives. As a budget keeper you take care of part of the bookkeeping. Within this position you operate at a national level. No complicated issues, but some financial knowledge is nice. You ensure that the agreed budgets are not exceeded and you make a plan for purchasing the necessary resources, for example. This is a budget that is about costs and not about revenues. In addition, costs incurred, such as travel costs and meeting costs, are submitted to you and approved or not. You then forward the costs incurred to the KNSB for payment.

The section board expects you, together with the other board members, to make a substantive contribution to policy aspects regarding marathon skating. In principle, the section board meets monthly. These meetings mainly take place at the Bondsbureau in Utrecht, but also regularly remotely via Microsoft Teams.

We ask

As a budget keeper you recognize yourself in the following characteristics:

· You have some financial knowledge. We do not expect complicated pivot tables or an annual report from you, but it is nice if working with a budget is familiar territory for you.

· You can work accurately and handle financial information confidentially.

· You have a few hours each month that you would like to spend as a volunteer for skating.

· It is nice if you already have some experience as a volunteer in marathon skating, but this is not a hard requirement.

· You have a heart for skating and in particular for marathon skating, both on artificial ice and natural ice, and innovative forms thereof that can stimulate the interest in this sport among practitioners and spectators.

· You cooperate in applying for a VOG statement.
