What can you do as a volunteer at Odensehuis Andante?

Drop-in home Andante is for people with early dementia and their loved ones.

Volunteers are active every day during the walk-in. In order to draw attention to the Odensehuis in various ways, we are looking for volunteers who appreciate PR and communication tasks.

PR duties

The following total package of PR tasks can be divided among several PR volunteers.

• Keep the Social Media channels such as Facebook & LinkedIn up-to-date (weekly).
• Website provided with current news and the newsletter (every two weeks).
• Monday agenda.
• Make contacts with (neighborhood) newspapers, create and place advertisements and / or articles.
• Thinking about the content of promotional material.
• Provide sufficient flyers at relevant places in the city.
• If you like it and are good at this: writing blogs.
• Editing, formatting & layout of various communication documents.

You work together with the other PR employees and the coordinators of the Odensehuis.

Employability

Due to continuity it is nice if you work at least 2 to 4 hours a week. A fixed part of the day is allowed but not necessary. Being visible on location is desirable, but for certain jobs you can also work at a different location.

Knowledge

You:

• knows the mission and vision of the Odensehuis and is enthusiastic about it;
• has knowledge of Social Media and knows how to bring Odensenieuws to the attention in a catchy and creative way;
• have knowledge
• preferably have knowledge of and / or experience with drawing up and editing various communication documents and updating an existing website.

Skills

You:

• can work independently;
• thinks creatively and in solutions;
• are also practical.

Attitude

You:

• are aimed at collaboration with involved parties such as participants, other volunteers and external parties;
• are flexible with regard to changing activities or circumstances.

If the collaboration is mutually beneficial, we will conclude a volunteer contract after a trial period. With this you are insured through the volunteer insurance of the municipality. These insurance policies apply during the performance of all activities for the Odensehuis and for commuting.

Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG)

All volunteers must be in possession of a Certificate of Good Conduct. The costs of this are reimbursed by the Odensehuis.

Privacy

In the context of privacy rules, your name, address, telephone number, date of birth and date of commencement of your volunteer work. This information will not be made available to third parties. The coordinator is responsible for providing you with the information necessary for your work.
