Collection coordinator (Voluntary)

Do you like to roll up your sleeves for someone else? The Red Cross can really use your help! We have been helping emergency situations in the Netherlands for over 150 years. During the corona crisis, we are running our largest relief operation since the flood disaster. For example, we help in healthcare, support in the test streets and hand out food packages. Because in times of need no one should stand alone.

About 45 volunteers are active in De Bilt Red Cross department with various activities, such as event assistance, youth and telephone circle. For the annual collection in the third week of June, we are looking for a coordinator who organizes and coordinates the collection of the Red Cross in De Bilt and surroundings. The department consists of the towns De Bilt, Bilthoven, Maartensdijk, Groenekan, Westbroek and Hollandsche Rading.

Collection coordinator  

Volunteer for about 2 hours a week  

What are you going to do?

You coordinate both the door-to-door collection and the digital collection. You ensure that there are sufficient collectors and district coordinators. You are the first point of contact for these coordinators and ensure that they   have the necessary collection materials. You organize promotional activities. You ensure a good neighborhood division for the collection, you manage all administrative data and you supervise the execution of the collection. You are responsible for the payment of the collection fees.

We are looking for someone who

You are an organizational talent and you enjoy managing and supervising volunteers. You enjoy working in a team and you have good communication skills. You work accurately, you are good with Excel and you quickly familiarize yourself with software. You have your own computer with internet access. You are available for approximately 2 hours per week, plus an extra investment of time in the weeks leading up to the collection. You live in the municipality of De Bilt or in the immediate vicinity.
