Coordinator of the VVT Action Center

Do you like to roll up your sleeves for someone else? The Red Cross could really use your help! We have been helping in emergencies in the Netherlands for over 150 years. During the corona crisis, we run our largest relief operation since the flood disaster. For example, we help in healthcare, provide support in the test streets and distribute food parcels. Because in times of need, no one should be alone.

The Red Cross also played an important supporting role in healthcare during the COVID-19 crisis. For example, the Red Cross supports nursing, care and home care (VVT).

Volunteer for 8 hours a week

A request for help from a nursing home is received by the (medical) care project manager, after which the institution's needs are examined. If the need meets the guidelines and the capacity of the Red Cross, concrete agreements will be made about the deployment. This will then be sent to the VVT Action Center coordinator, who will continue to implement the deployment.

What are you going to do?

• You take volunteers with you from registration to deployment at an institution
• You keep an eye on the planning and are the point of contact for volunteers
• You monitor the services in Tools
• You have frequent consultations with the Project Manager
• You implement changes with the volunteers from Schil om de Zorg
• You contribute to improvements within the project

Who are you?

• Available for at least 8 hours per week (flexible throughout the week)
• You are flexible and willing to work on weekends
• You are stress resistant
• You are an accurate worker and you love solving puzzles
• You are handy with Excel
• You have good social skills and make the volunteers enthusiastic
• You can work well together and coordinate in a team and with other parties
