Who are we?

Clients can turn to Wegwijs' Social Legal Services for all kinds of questions and problems. Employees provide social-legal advice and support to clients of the Interim Provision, Abrona, Altrecht, Lister, Salvation Army, and other organizations with clients who fall under additional care.

What are you going to do?

• You are committed to financial stability in the client's situation. From the theory you have sufficient knowledge in the field of finance and minimum wages to be able to assist the client. You are interested and involved and you consult others to develop yourself further.
• You conduct conversations to clearly map out the client's situation
• Where necessary, you obtain information from the client and external parties
• Together with the client, you draw up a plan of action and you help the client implement that plan.
• You help clients with questions about, for example, benefits, taxes, allowances, debts, municipal regulations and writing objections and/or petitions.

What do we expect?

• You have an affinity with working with vulnerable people and you are unbiased towards the target group. You can work independently and are result and solution oriented. You can also set priorities in the work and set boundaries in contact with the client.
• You function at HBO work and thinking level
• Good command of the Dutch language
• speaking and writing skills
• You know how to identify the most important elements from complex information
• You are open, clear and businesslike in your contact
• Willing to commit to volunteering for at least one year
• Willingness to attend training and counseling meetings
• You are willing to request a Certificate of Good Conduct (the costs of which will be reimbursed by the organization)
