De Stek is a 24-hour shelter for homeless people with a chronic and problematic hard drug or alcohol addiction. These people cannot (yet) be admitted to a care or residential institution. With this we want to contribute to (social) safety in the public space (specifically the station area). It is about 15 people.

What are you going to do?

You supervise an activity in a small-scale and informal way. In this way you help vulnerable people to regain some daily structure. For example by painting, drawing, or something else creative together. You can also play a board game such as cards, shuffleboard, or table football. Or maybe you like to maintain our garden together with clients, or to set up a small vegetable garden? Or maybe you have a completely different idea.

What do we ask of you?

You are interested and involved and you enjoy working with vulnerable people. You have initiative and can work independently.

• You are available on a fixed day between 13:00 and 17:00.
• You are open, accessible in contact.
• You are willing to come and cook for a longer period of time on a fixed day.
