volunteers for Living Room of the Neighborhood (Eye in Al)

The House of Dominicus, located in a former Dominican monastery in the Utrecht neighborhood of Oog in Al, offers a program in the field of study and debate, reflection and spirituality, meeting and conversation, art and culture.

To strengthen the Living Room of the Neighborhood, we are looking for new volunteers who want to do something for people who live in the AZC. Affinity with religion, meaning, culture and social issues is desirable.

We are looking for volunteers who want to make a meaningful contribution to newcomers by:

– to practice the Dutch language with them,

– pay attention to their experiences and stories,

– introducing fun and relaxation into contact,

– expand the network of newcomers.

What do we offer? A place where people feel seen and heard, experience that they are important and feel invited to participate. This applies not only to people who participate in activities, but also to the people who organize the activities. In this way we look together for ways to shape a place of meaning and purpose for the future. We regularly organize training courses and workshops to become more familiar with the target group and to provide tools for contact.
