What's happening in 2020?

The Present Utrecht Foundation has grown into a strong player in Utrecht voluntary work. We are therefore constantly working on new developments in the city, so that we remain relevant and can make a difference. In recent years we have mainly worked on a light organization with a flexible layer. In addition, we listen carefully and specifically to what is happening in the city and make our own contribution to the future of volunteer work. In our work we offer good quality and we are always looking for improvement. We believe in the value of our own concept. In the coming years we want to focus on further quality improvement, new forms of volunteer work and expanding our networks.

The role of the board

Present Utrecht's board currently consists of 5 people. The board is ultimately responsible for the foundation's activities, finances, policy and employership. The board has an important role in vision formation, developing and maintaining the network with other administrators in churches, government and social organizations and administrative contacts with Stichting Present Nederland. We can be characterized as a committed board, but at a distance. For the coming years we are looking for new board members who want to build on the work of the Present Utrecht Foundation.

Vacancy General board member

We are looking for people who have a network in one or more of the underlying domains:

• With dot on 1, a network in the municipal, social or administrative domain
• A network in ecclesiastical Utrecht
• A network within companies in Utrecht

We are looking for someone with the following competencies:

• You have managerial experience
• You are a networker, you make easy contact and you naturally connect with different parties (both internally and externally within Present Utrecht and Present Netherlands)
• You are a constructive thinker and are inspiring and enthusiastic
• You are honest and steadfast
• Social entrepreneurship experience is a plus
• And also the contribution of your specific expertise in the (board) work of Present.

What do we expect from you?

• That you support the vision, method and Christian identity of Present Utrecht
• That you live in Utrecht city, or in the immediate region
• That you want to be an ambassador of Present in your own network
• That you participate in the board meetings, about 6 times a year
• We are happy to discuss a precise job description with you
