Fundraising for humanitarian, medical and legal needs

People without a residence permit turn to the STIL office for medical, legal and humanitarian support. See www.stil-utrecht.nl. Our fixed costs are financed by a subsidy from the municipality. In addition, we have to finance a large part of the expenditure for clients through fund and donor recruitment. A paid employee is responsible for this.

She can use help writing letters asking for support for individual needs. This is very easy, fun and meaningful work. It only takes a few hours a week and you can organize your time freely. The condition is that you do not make any DT errors and that your spelling and command of the Dutch language are perfect. In addition, you must be able to write a clear, short situation sketch, and be able to draw up a neat letter.

You must also continue to process the application if money is donated. And to process things administratively.

Own initiative is welcome. In the long term you may also be able to think / help in the field of project-based fundraising and general fundraising for the organization, or in the field of donor recruitment.

Our wishes:

- Perfect command of the Dutch language in writing and orally

- Be able to formulate a summary of the medical, legal and / or humanitarian situation for an application for financial support, with accompanying financial data. Based on information to be provided by employees and volunteers, and additional own research.

- To be able to write neat letters

- Being able to take care of administration. Partly on paper, partly digitally.

- Minimum HBO level (and / or demonstrable relevant experience)

- independent working method, responsibility, respect for privacy

- affinity with target group (undocumented migrants)
