Handy job volunteer

STIL is an organization that provides assistance to refugees and migrants without a residence permit. We assist with legal, medical and humanitarian questions. People also come by for a cup of coffee, lunch or Dutch lessons. Sometimes people are not well off psychologically. We try to work with clients to improve their situation, with at best legal residence in the Netherlands.

We do this work from a small and busy office in Lombok. The space is not in very good condition and the furnishings often consist of second-hand items. Sometimes something breaks and then nobody has time to fix it. Sometimes there are also suggestions to improve the design of the office, but then we do not get around to implementing it. That is why we are looking for someone who can help us with all kinds of chores.

We are looking for someone who is handy and has a few hours every week to carry out repairs, carry out maintenance and do jobs that improve the workspace. This includes installing lighting, hinges and locks, transporting things to bulky waste, venting the central heating, removing computer wires, etc.

Possibilities also include shopping and possibly offering ICT support.
