For the Coffee Corner and farm shop on the Stadsboerderij we are looking for doers who also like to chat in this green meeting place.Detailed description
A Coffee Corner and a small farm shop will be built on Gagelsteede City Farm. A cup of coffee, a cake, while you watch the cows and sheep walk through the meadow, with a 10 high flat behind you. Yes you can, in Overvecht!
In addition to a cup of coffee, there are also products from the farm or from Food Garden Overvecht. Supplemented with local products, such as honey from one of the city beekeepers, potatoes and fruit from the Kromme Rijn Region via Local2Local. Of course there are organic ice creams from Boerderijs and juices from Schulp.
We are looking for volunteers who like to chat with the visitors, can tell something about the farm, where the food comes from and contribute to this cozy, green meeting place.
We work with different shifts, so you can help at different times:
- between 10 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.,
- between 12:00 and 14:30
- between 2 pm and 4.30 pm
But other times can of course also be discussed.

Gagelsteede city farm: a green meeting place in Overvecht-Noord! This steede of the Utrecht Natural Foundation is the place to relax and get to know the most important (agricultural) pets. You can also find information about sustainability, a healthy lifestyle and ask questions about nature.
In addition, there are many different organizations at Gagelsteede. Such as DOCK with supervised play and The Kidsclub with parent-child activities, but also the BuurtMobiel where you can arrange suitable transport and the Food Garden Overvecht, which work a piece of land together with the neighborhood and grow the most local vegetables.
