Mentorcoördinator School's cool Utrecht

School's cool is our mentoring program for the transition from 8th grade to and into first grade. Voluntary mentors offer weekly individual help with homework, study skills and language skills, as well as social skills and personal attention, at the pupil's home.

Taal doen meer is looking for volunteers who have a talent for coaching and organizing, for the task of coordinator. Do you want to contribute to the participation of Utrecht residents in an active and enterprising organization?

We ask:

Profile

You have an affinity with language and cultures and you are good at involving people. You are open and communicative, have HBO work and thinking level and organizational talent. You are eager to learn, willing to follow training, independent and reliable: if you give your commitment, you will stay. You are flexible within the agreements and you persevere when things go wrong.

Tasks

Coaching

You coach and supervise a group of about 8 volunteers. You are the point of contact for them, you conduct conversations such as coupling conversations, you help formulate learning objectives, provide information and refer you.

Coordination

You organize consultations, ensure process monitoring and coordination internally (Language employees do more) and possibly. external (applicants / other organizations / care providers)

Administration

You keep track of the progress of volunteers and participants in our registration system.

Employability

You are available (flexibly) for about 4 hours a week and you know your way around the city of Utrecht.
