Vacancy 3rd Board member

We are looking for a third board member. Someone with a passion for participation and inclusion. Someone who likes to contribute to creating awareness, because:

Do you look at obstacles? Then everyone is limited.

Do you look at talent? Then everyone can participate!

It is a voluntary position for a few hours a month in Utrecht.

What is hoiUtrecht?

hoiUtrecht offers a platform to people who experience obstacles to fully participate in society. Utrecht residents who share their experiences and tips on how they tackle (daily) challenges. In a positive way, with inspiring stories.

hoiUtrecht distributes the stories in various ways: via the online collection, social media, story exhibitions and republications in national magazines and local media.

Target

We work on awareness with stories of experience. So that there is room for participation in an inclusive society. The stories are # for everyone , because we can all learn from each other.

Team

As a team, we set a good example. We are an inclusive team of experienced experts, informal carers and involved citizens. All professionals who are committed to an inclusive society.

Finances

hoiUtrecht receives a contribution from the municipality of Utrecht. For the coming years we are looking for (structural) financing to guarantee our survival.

Your role as a board member

As a board member you help and think along with:

• Finding main characters: people from Utrecht and the surrounding area who want to share their story.
• Finding partners to create, exhibit or publish stories together.
• Ways to raise awareness of hoiUtrecht more widely.
• Ways to raise funds and / or crowdfunding.

What do we ask of you?

• Attendance at board meetings, approximately 6 per year (currently via MS Teams).
• Living in the Utrecht region, preferably Utrecht city.
• Relevant network in care & welfare and citizen initiatives.
• You have time to pick up and implement an action item every now and then.

What do you get in return?

A special volunteer position in an inclusive and professional team of committed Utrecht residents.
