PR employee for Project DUO in the municipality of Utrecht

Do you like pets and do you like doing something for the elderly / chronically ill? Then the Animal Protection Agency is looking for you through the 'Animals & Elderly' project (DUO)!

In the municipality of Utrecht, volunteers from DUO help elderly / chronically ill people who own a pet with taking care of their animal. This may include walking the dog, changing the litter box, taking the animal to the vet or changing the bird cage and associated care. All this with the aim that humans and animals can stay together as long as possible!

For the DUO project we are looking for:

PR male or female

The task for the voluntary PR employee is to actively work on the name recognition of the DUO project in Utrecht. This through a direct approach to:

• GPs
• Veterinarians
• Care centers
• Neighborhood teams and home care organizations
• Social neighborhood teams
• Etc.

In addition, seeking publicity and actively disseminating information about DUO through local and weekly newspapers, community centers and care centers, in order to approach the possible target group and find new clients: elderly and chronically ill with a limited social network and a limited grant , seeking help for their beloved pet

You have:

• affinity with animals & humans;
• the necessary experience with Communication;
• good writing skills;
• an entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm;
• excellent social and communication skills;
• approx. 6 - 10 hours per month.
