Help the cutest birds! Volunteer at the Bird Shelter Utrecht

Did you know pigeons breed all year long? The other birds start in the spring, which is why we're currently looking for new volunteers so we're all set for when the busy season starts. Apply for the most fun volunteer job in Utrecht: helping birds!

What will you be doing?

As a volunteer you help out with all the daily tasks in the bird shelter. Your job will consist of f.e.

• cleaning cages and aviaries

• washing the dishes and keeping up with the laundry

• feeding the birds in the aviaries

• answering the phone

• entering new birds into the system

• observing intakes with our skilled volunteers, and possibly learning to medically examine birds too

NB: we only house wild birds native to our country, so no pets.

We offer: varied work in a skilled and fun team for a wonderful goal: you contribute to the rescue and release of birds that would not survive without our help. How cool is that?! Nothing is more satisfying than releasing a bird that we have all patched up together.
