Accompanied Transport Planning Coordinator (Voluntary)

With eight of its own buses, the Red Cross Utrecht transports people and resources through the Utrecht region and beyond; the so-called Accompanied Transport. One journey concerns the transport of a person in need of care to or from a care institution. For example, the next ride revolves around the transport of materials around an event. The first ride of a day may have been on the agenda for a while, the 4th ride suddenly comes in between.

Behind the wheel and, if necessary, also in the back next to the patient, passionate Red Cross volunteers (drivers and co-drivers) ensure transport with attention every time. Our dispatchers (including volunteers) manage the journey requests in the right direction again. And all this 7 days a week!

Because the Guided Transport is going to take on a new shape, the Red Cross Utrecht is looking for a Planning Coordinator (volunteer) who wants to plan and monitor the journeys and the deployability and occupation of our buses.

Coordinator Planning Accompanied Transport  

Volunteer 10 hours a week  

What are you going to do?

• You make well-thought-out ride and duty schedules and process them in the various online planning tools
• You are that always helpful beacon for the dispatchers, drivers, co-drivers and other colleagues
• You are the pragmatic discussion partner for our clients onze

Contact with drivers, co-drivers, dispatchers, ride requesters and others is done by telephone, via a special app and in a closed online environment. Your phone and laptop are your office. It is estimated that you will be working on it for about 10 hours per week in the coming months (flexibly throughout the week).

• You are an accurate and structured worker
• You are ICT-skilled and quickly find your digital way in (new) planning tools and apps
• You are organizationally strong and you like an overview
• You are stress resistant and decisive when necessary
• You communicate clearly and in a timely manner with both your colleagues and our clients
