Volunteer administrative support Digiwijs

There are still many people in Utrecht who do not know how to work with the computer and who find it scary to use the internet. They are mainly elderly and non-native speakers. For example, they cannot send e-mail, look up information online or transfer money.

During the accessible computer courses of Digiwijs 3.0, volunteers ensure that our students learn to use the computer and the internet in 25 locations in the city of Utrecht. This opens the door to independently arranging digital affairs and getting a larger social network.

What are you going to do?

As a volunteer administrative support, you want to ensure that the administration of the students is properly arranged and that they receive sufficient attention. For example, you will be busy calling students to make an appointment or to discuss how the course is going. You will also prepare letters for students and enter data into the database. You are also prepared to assist with other tasks related to administration and maintaining contact with students.

We are looking for someone who…

• Patient and involved in contact with the elderly and non-native speakers
• Can listen well and want to motivate people to continue learning
• Likes to make contact by phone and do administrative tasks
• Enthusiastic to support the Digiwijs team and can also work independently
• Available to work from 4 to 8 hours a week from our location de Strooy (in Overvecht)
