Toy checker

Do you like to select, check and count toys and check our LEGO sets for completeness? Then we are looking for you!

We check all toys that have been borrowed and returned. It must be complete, clean and not broken.

The toy always comes with a table of contents that states what should be in the box. You can imagine that this is a very labor-intensive job when it comes to sets of LEGO. They must be completely checked for completeness.

But puzzles also have to be counted, we check playmobil with many small parts. Also think of train tracks, marble tracks, Kapla, Clicks, kitchens, puppets.

Sometimes the toy is not properly cleaned, then we give it a cloth or soapy water.

Our new toys must be given codes and prepared for loan. That is also nice work, not difficult but very labor-intensive. (remember, for example, that a code number must be written on each puzzle piece). New toys must also be entered into the computer.

We really have a lot of toys in our cupboards and our membership base is growing enormously, we borrow a lot. Checking takes a lot of time, but is also very pleasant. So if you are a bit of a stick and you enjoy working with fellow volunteers on an active and lively Play Library, you are more than welcome.

We always run our services with at least 2 people.

Currently (due to Corona) the Speelotheek works to order, so members can pick up and return toys. Fortunately, we can still open (safely). We can schedule the inspection of the toys at times when the Speelotheek is closed to members. So it is mainly fun and working together with colleagues. Will you help?
