Enthusiastic summer volunteer

Seguro is a lively organization that works with passion. The target group and the work requires an enthusiastic and committed person who is firmly in his / her shoes. In the summer period you will be in the group as well as 1 on 1 with the Seguro residents. You offer personal attention and guidance. The children's afternoon is also important, every Wednesday you ensure a nice place to play and activate for around 4 children. In addition, you arrange and organize everything that is needed for joint activities, home affairs and socializing.

Seguro is a relief organization for undocumented migrants; it concerns around 25 vulnerable men, women and children without a valid right of residence in the Netherlands. In addition to daycare, Seguro offers intensive personal guidance, both legally and socially. The guidance is based on customization, focused on personal strength, self-reliance and future prospects.

Every year the summer period is a challenge for Seguro in the daily occupation and in the care for our residents.

At Stichting Seguro we work together as a team; social worker, legal counselor, coordinator and trainees and volunteers. Throughout the year there are interns with us, in the summer there is a gap. That is why we are looking for you to have a nice summer together with the residents and to offer them personal attention and guidance.

What do we expect from a Summer Volunteer?
In the summer months an availability of preferably several half-days per week. You will be part of a driven team that you are involved with.

Together with the counselor, providing fun and being the point of contact for all residents (men, women and children). People regularly visit, drink coffee, and do things together.
Help with the children's activities on Wednesday afternoon.
Practical control assistance for residents and hand and maintenance services that are needed in e.g. the houses.

And for the positive summer feeling; develop fun joint activity (s) together with the residents
