AxionContinu is an organization for elderly care in the region of Utrecht, Leidse Rijn and the Lekstreek (IJsselstein).

The Gildenborgh is a location with day treatment and small-scale living.

Each house has a shared living room with an open kitchen. In addition, each resident has their own sitting / bedroom. In the homes, the household is shaped by a permanent team of carers together with the residents. The rhythm of everyday life is maintained. In this way, the lifestyle as this target group was used to can be continued as much as possible.



In addition to the grand café, the meeting place for residents and visitors, there is also a real cinema, a library and a reminiscence room. In the reminiscence room, the occupants imagine themselves completely back in the past. At the houses, baking is done regularly, games are played or the newspaper is read. If they wish, residents can also go outside for walking, shopping or cycling (side-by-side tandem)
