Summary
We are looking for reinforcements for our clothing team in OvervechtDetailed description
What are you going to do?
Everything! You and your colleagues sort the incoming clothing, shoes, bags and textiles. After that, everything is priced and distributed over our 3 stores in Utrecht. You hang everything in the store, preferably as attractive as possible of course! Want to make beautiful combinations on the mannequins in the store? Styling shop windows? Gladly!
Good to know
- The clothes-sorter is in Emmaus Overvecht.
- We are looking for people who are available at least 8 hours a week. Of course you can also come and work 2 mornings or afternoons instead of 1 day.
What do we offer?
The feeling that you are doing something meaningful! But also a nice place in our team with a colorful mix of colleagues. There is room to be yourself, to learn and to develop. There is a lot of laughter, we have lunch together and ensure that customers enjoy shopping with us.
Who are we?
The three nicest thrift shops in Utrecht. Emmaus Domstad is located in Parkwijk, Overvecht and Lombok. With the proceeds from our thrift shops we finance our own residential group for homeless people. This is how we take care of people and the environment!
Will you contact us? Hopefully we'll see you soon!
What we will provide to volunteers
🤝 Extra supportAbout Emmaus Domstad
The stuff in the thrift store is not expensive, so it is also attractive for customers with less money to spend. Emmaus is primarily about people and not things. Recycling is a way of doing something for and with each other.
There is room for people from problematic situations in the Emmaus living areas. At Emmaus they find a place to live together and get their lives back on track. Together with the volunteers, they ensure that Emmaus continues to run. Volunteers and residents are indispensable in the cycle work.
Emmaus earns her own money. After deduction of the costs, money remains. This is intended for small-scale projects for underprivileged people near and far.
