About Federatie Emmaus Nederland
There are practical idealists at Emmaus. We stand in solidarity with the most vulnerable in society. We are self-reliant and untethered. We earn our own money, especially with our recycling activities. In the Netherlands, Emmaus consists of 14 (living) working communities. Together they have 20 thrift stores. All branches are focused on important goals: giving people opportunities to make their lives meaningful and help them get out of a problem situation; improve the environment by sorting and reusing discarded products as much as possible; giving people with a small budget the opportunity to buy clothing and items for little money; donate money that we have left to charities at home and abroad.
