About Fundatie van Renswoude

The Fundatie van Renswoude was founded in 1754. In that year Maria Duyst van Voorhout, Vrijvrouwe van Renswoude passed away. She left a considerable fortune with the assignment to house and educate poor orphaned boys in a building that had to be erected especially for this purpose. The building and furnishings are largely in original condition. Today, scholarships are provided and the style rooms are rented out for dinners, meetings and other gatherings.
