About Humanistisch Verbond, afdeling Utrecht

The Humanistisch Verbond wants a society in which everyone is free to give their own personal interpretation of life, love, thinking and death. We want a society where people are treated equally and live together with dignity.

We want people who don't believe or renounce their faith to be safe and heard. We want people who subscribe to LGBTQia + (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, intersex, asexual, plus others) not to fear discrimination, persecution or ostracism. That someone who is thinking about euthanasia or abortion can make an informed choice.

We strive for a society in which we care for each other. In which everyone can count on independent help with mental distress or complicated life questions. In which care is organized in such a way that people can live a dignified life to the end.

We want to give future generations a meaningful life. That they are free to think, act and live freely. Because in the end we only want one thing: a society that remains dignified in the future as well.

Active members of the Utrecht department meet regularly for activities such as dialogues, courses and film evenings. Members and other interested parties are very welcome to participate. If you have ideas for activities yourself, or if you are interested in making an active contribution, please contact us.
