Volunteer Friendly Home Visit

A cup of coffee and a chat, or just a listening ear is often very nice. Would you like to visit people's homes and give them some attention? Then this is for you

Almost a quarter of all Dutch people feel lonely. Sometimes illness or old age plays a role. But of course there are also people who simply do not make contact so easily. Then there is a chance that people will become lonely.

The participants in Friendly Home Visit would like to receive visitors. Just to have a chat. People are happy to have someone who has some time for them. You can really mean something to someone. You will be linked to a participant with whom you share at least some hobbies or interests.

Do you recognize yourself in this?

• You like to hang out with each other on the basis of equality - you are a volunteer, not a social worker.
• You take the time to build a friendly contact together.
• You have the time to visit the participant every 14 days for about a year for about 2 hours. During the day, in the evening or at the weekend, whatever suits you.

What do we have to offer you?

You do not need any special training or experience for home visits. We support and guide you well through:

• An introductory training
• Individual support
• Meetings with other volunteers to exchange experiences
