Communication officer (Voluntary)

Do you like to roll up your sleeves for someone else? The Red Cross can really use your help! We have been helping emergency situations in the Netherlands for over 150 years. During the corona crisis, we are running our largest relief operation since the flood disaster. For example, the Red Cross helps with care, distribution of food packages or simply a listening ear.

We operate worldwide from our seven founding principles: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntariness, unity and universality.

The Red Cross not only provides emergency aid at national and international level, but is also active locally. In the De Bilt department, for example, approximately 45 volunteers work in De Bilt, Maartensdijk and the surrounding area. For example in the field of event assistance, first aid and contact circles. In order to perfectly convey the message to the outside world, De Bilt department is looking for a communication employee.

Volunteer 1 to 2 hours a week  

What are you going to do?

You know better than anyone how to communicate effectively. Whether you do this with your smooth pen or through oral communication. You know how to convey the message of the Red Cross clearly and accurately.

You are responsible for both internal and external communication. Sometimes you are busy writing texts for the website or drafting and sending newsletters. The other time you post on social media or create and edit video content. Social media has no secrets for you. Do you feel like a fish in water when creating creative content, then we are looking for you!

We are looking for someone who

• Enthusiastic, creative, independent and proactive
• Has an excellent command of the Dutch language
• Has extensive knowledge of social media and Microsoft 365
