About Stichting Bevrijdingsfestival Utrecht
Since 1993, the Liberation Festival Utrecht Foundation has organized the Liberation Festival Utrecht every year on 5 May. This large-scale, free public event attracts more than 40,000 visitors every year in the Transwijk park. The Liberation Festival Utrecht is one of fourteen national Liberation festivals that are organized under the umbrella of the National Committee for 4 and 5 May. In addition to an extensive music program (last year including Kraantje Pappie, Fedde le Grand, Blaudzun and My Baby), the festival also organizes debates, children's activities and various other special projects, all related to the concept of Freedom.
