Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic students who want to guide children (10-12 years) to realize their talents and ideas for the neighborhood!Detailed description
The Move Foundation links children who get fewer opportunities than their peers to students. By letting them take action together for their environment, these children notice what they can achieve and what impact they can have on their own living environment. The ideas the children come up with for the neighborhood are guided by the students.
You will attend a primary school five times in a less fortunate neighborhood in Utrecht. In addition, the children come with you to your living environment and get a glimpse into the student life of Utrecht. As a volunteer you will be guided by Move, you will work on your didactic skills and you will learn to work in a project-based manner in a short time.
For our next project period we are again looking for students who like to develop themselves, commit themselves to Utrecht and dare to step out of their own 'student bubble'. You spend an average of 2 to 4 hours p / w working on the project for half a year.
Would you like this? Let us know!

🤝 Extra supportAbout Stichting Move Utrecht
Move connects children from disadvantaged neighborhoods to students. They brainstorm about the question: how can we improve the neighborhood ourselves? Together they take responsibility for devising and implementing a social project. The ideas and talents of the children come first: together with the students, they give their neighborhood a boost. For example, they organize an afternoon of games for the elderly, make a work of art in the neighborhood or do a litter clean-up campaign together with local residents. In addition to devising and implementing a project in the neighborhood, the students also take the children to student life for a day. For example, they go to the university, to a student house, or they go sports together at the association. In short: it is an eye-opening experience for both parties!
