About WelnU

WelnU provides Dutch language lessons to refugees who live in the Utrecht asylum seekers' center, but also to other migrants who want to learn Dutch. We believe that integration should start from day one, and that cannot be done without language or social contact. People of all nationalities, backgrounds and levels, from illiterate to people who can already manage in Dutch, are taught by volunteers in small groups (2-5 people) and learn how to cope in our country. Everyone is welcome and participation is free. We can always use your help as a volunteer.

We work with a simple teaching method, each time you work through a lesson letter. You do not need any experience, it usually goes without saying and otherwise we are always there to support you. Would you like to try it sometime, please let us know!
