Taalcafé is looking for a new coordinator!

WelnU gives Dutch language lessons to refugees living in Utrecht, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. This vacancy is specific to WelnU Utrecht.

We believe that integration should start from day one, and it cannot be done without language or social contact. People of all nationalities, backgrounds and levels, from illiterate to people who can manage quite well in Dutch, are taught in small groups by volunteers and learn to cope in our country. Everyone is welcome and participation is free.

As a coordinator, you divide the students and volunteers together, prepare the coffee and tea and assist where necessary. In addition to being a coordinator, each coordinator has a small task, such as keeping an eye on the mail, working on new teaching materials, maintaining the website or posting on social media. In total you will spend about 4 to 6 hours a week coordinating one of the lens moments and the extra task. Interested parties with a non-Dutch mother tongue are especially encouraged to apply!

Outside of Corona times we have five lessons a week.

These Language Cafés take place at:

• Monday from 19:30 to 21:30 in Restaurant Kantien
• Tuesday from 19.30 - 21.00 in Kaffeetaria
• Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in Restaurant Kantien
• Wednesday from 19:30 to 21:30 in the neighborhood center de Jager
• Friday morning women's language café from 10:00 to 12:00 at Plan Einstein.

At the moment we arrange our language lessons online, we really hope to be able to give language lessons on location again as soon as possible.
