Summary
Do you feel responsible for things belonging to the customer and do you like tackling things? Then we are looking for you!Detailed description
Emmaus Domstad (Lombok, Parkwijk and Overvecht) is looking for co-drivers to pick up and drop off items for sale and recycling.
In the morning or afternoon you and a team of one or two colleagues are on the road in and around Utrecht with the crafter (small truck).
We are looking to strengthen our team from Monday to Saturday.
What we will provide to volunteers
🤝 Extra supportAbout Emmaus Domstad
Emmaus has several thrift stores in Utrecht and the surrounding area. Emmaus employees collect, sort and sell used items. Recycling of things is always surprising, sometimes incomprehensible and better for the environment. What is reused does not have to be made new. That saves raw materials and energy.
The stuff in the thrift store is not expensive, so it is also attractive for customers with less money to spend. Emmaus is primarily about people and not things. Recycling is a way of doing something for and with each other.
There is room for people from problematic situations in the Emmaus living areas. At Emmaus they find a place to live together and get their lives back on track. Together with the volunteers, they ensure that Emmaus continues to run. Volunteers and residents are indispensable in the cycle work.
Emmaus earns her own money. After deduction of the costs, money remains. This is intended for small-scale projects for underprivileged people near and far.
