Summary
Do you have time to pay attention to our visitors, making their world a little bigger again? Then we are looking for you!Detailed description
What are you doing?
Together with your team you are a warm welcome for the visitors. You support visitors in their first needs: a cup of coffee, tea or soup and a listening ear.
As a volunteer:
• Do you welcome the visitor with a cup of soup or a sandwich
• Are you a listening ear, are you having a conversation or are you playing a game
• Refer your people to specific assistance if there are questions about regulatory matters, activation or otherwise
What do we ask of you?
• You are at least 18 years old.
• You are capable of informally giving personal attention to visitors.
• You are not easily upset by people with a different attitude and you do not quickly feel personally addressed.
• You are available on Saturday or Sunday. The morning is from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm and the afternoon is from 1.30 pm to 6.30 pm.
What do we offer you?
• A fun and educational volunteer task where contact with visitors is paramount. Moreover, you have the opportunity to learn from the (development) process that the visitor goes through.
• Training offer for volunteers and activities.
• Third-party liability insurance for the hours that you are active and travel allowance.
• And of course you can eat and drink something on location!
About the location Walk-in / Restart
The Walk-in for the homeless is part of Restart (Nieuwegracht 92). We are open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
The walk-in is designed for the one and a half meter meeting and holds a max. of 25 visitors.
In addition, we have opened a temporary homeless walk-in on Zeehaenkade (Kanaleneiland). This is due to the increasing pressure on the Inloop on Nieuwegracht due to the 1.5 meter measure. Here too we are looking for volunteers with the same activities as the Inloop.
Restart and the temporary Walk-in location are aimed at:
• prevention of homelessness
• shelter and help for those who nevertheless become homeless
• customized assistance
• guidance of (former) homeless people who have found a place to live again
May we welcome you as our new volunteer at the Inloop?
