Become a volunteer at Home Help!

A listening ear and practical help for people who need it. There are people who have difficulty entering the world through their own front door. Your practical help and listening ear is very welcome to them. In the project “Help at home” you go as a volunteer to these people to provide support with various requests for help, varying from organizing the administration, handling mail, making contact with authorities to supporting clients to come out of their isolation. .

What we can offer you:

• Interesting volunteer work where you can make a real difference with your knowledge and experience and build up relevant work experience

What we (preferably) ask of you:

• Curiosity and practical knowledge in the field of light mail questions and about everyday administrative and financial help requests
• An eye for being able to work in a culture-sensitive way
• You master the Dutch language, for example to answer letters or to be able to call various authorities
• It is a great advantage if you master classical Arabic or the Turkish language
• You are empathetic, you take initiative, you are independent, patient and flexible. You act on the basis of equality and trust.
• You can work independently and know how to ask for help in time where necessary.
