Wanted: treasurer who wants to strengthen Zuilen

The Power of Zuilen wants to improve the Zuilen district in the field of welfare, care, culture, development, diversity, sustainability and the neighborhood economy and is not for profit.

We do this by sharing information and supporting (new) residents' initiatives in the neighbourhood. We are also active in the neighborhood platform, as a publisher of a lot of neighborhood information, and as a booster of the Neighborhood Network Pillars for neighborly help and social contact.

To this end, we organize activities and work together with residents' organizations and neighborhood partners. Such as the municipality, social and cultural organisations, the neighborhood council and entrepreneurs. The board works together with a project leader. We meet once every three to four weeks.

The board is looking for a new treasurer

Are you someone with financial and accounting insight? Do you want to help with fundraising? Do you like to think about how the money flows now run through the neighborhood and whether that could be done differently? Do you think residents' initiatives deserve sustainable income? Then we are looking for you!

The main tasks are:

• Drawing up the (long-term) budget and the annual financial report;
• Fundraising including setting up a relevant network for this;
• Checking and reviewing financial data and making payments;
• Informing the board and other stakeholders about the financial state of affairs.
• Thinking along about new opportunities for making our work more sustainable, making residents' initiatives more sustainable and reinvesting in the neighbourhood.

The tasks are supported by an accountant and we use a solid e-accounting system. So it is not much administrative work. We are mainly looking for your social-business insight and ambition to strengthen the neighbourhood.

As a board member of the Power of Columns, you are an active promoter of our objective: working on an inclusive, pleasant neighborhood through collaboration and connection. We also ask the following:

• You live in Zuilen, or in its immediate vicinity;
• You can organize well and have a service-oriented attitude;
• You have administrative experience or want to build one;
• You are a team player and have good communication skills;
• You have good oral and written communication skills.
