Escorts to theatre, concert and film houses

Under the motto 'out together, enjoy together', Vier het Leven organizes theater and concert visits with supervision for the elderly who can no longer undertake this independently. Vier het Leven takes the elderly from Utrecht, De Meern and Vleuten to various theatres, cinemas and concert halls in Utrecht, Nieuwegein, IJsselstein and Houten. We also regularly take the Museum Plus Bus to large national museums and occasionally to large theaters in the country for a beautiful musical.

In collaboration with the theaters, a varied program has been put together with drama, show, cabaret, (classical) music, film and opera. Participants make a choice from this and register. Celebrate Life takes care of the entire organization surrounding the outing: entrance ticket, refreshments, guidance, transport and pleasant company!

We have a very nice team of volunteers and due to the enormous growth in the number of guests, we want to increase our team. As hostess/host of Vier het Leven, you accompany a maximum of 3 elderly people to a performance at a time, at least 6 times a year. You indicate your available data yourself. Participating elderly people will be personally picked up by you, accompanied during the performance and brought back home afterwards.

We ask:

- Affinity with the target group and with theatre/film

- Under 70 years old

- Access to a 5-door car (because of rollator transport)

- Have access to a computer (communication is mainly via e-mail)

- Familiar with driving a car, even at night and in bad weather.
